Go for a walk or jog at lunchtime

Making a routine of walking, jogging, going to the gym or doing some sort of vigorous aerobic exercise with one or more work colleagues at lunch time will greatly enhance your health, fitness and wellbeing.

You'll come back refreshed, revitalized and re-invigorated. You'll also get to know your colleagues better.

If you need a bit more time for your midday break in order to fit in your exercise, get to work a bit earlier or leave a bit later.

If you're a walker all you need to do is keep a spare pair of sneakers at the office.

Better still, park your car or get off the bus/train/tram a few stops from work and walk to and from work in your sneakers and keep a spare pair of work shoes under your desk at work.
