Lose a pound of fat a day?

In order to lose ONE POUND OF FAT PER DAY, you'll either have to reduce your caloric intake by 3,500 calories, or increase your caloric expenditure. Considering that the average person consumes around 2,000 calories a day, it's likely that you can only save 1,000 calorie by eating less.

Which means you'll have to burn off 2,500 calories while you're exercising.

If I work out on the stepper at a steady heart rate of a tad over 130 beats per minute I can burn off 200 calories in 30 minutes. That's 2.5 hours to burn off 1000 calories and roughly 6 hours to burn off 2,500 calories.

It sounds like as tough assignment.

So how 'bout a pound a week? Sounds easier and is readily achievable if you get 1000 Aerabytes a week and cut back on the garbohydrates (yep thats a 'c' not a 'g').

Or how 'bout 1% of your weight each week. It's a tou8gher assignment but gets easier the less you weigh! You just have to work a bit longer and be more disciplined on the eating front.
